“Il giornalino di Gian Burrasca “ can be considered perhaps the biggest personal TV triumph of Rita Pavone in the role of Giannino Stoppani, a twelve years old boy called Gian Burrasca  ( Johnny the Storm ) a real little rascal. The musical, in 8 episodes, based on the famous homonymous book written by Vamba, original music by Nino Rota, arrangements by Luis Enriquez Bacalov - both of them prize Academy Award winners - sets and costumes by Piero Tosi , directed by Lina Wertmuller , scored an unprecedented success , perhaps one of the biggest  EVENTS  of the Italian Television ever.
Rita’s “Viva la pappa col pomodoro “ – the main theme of the musical – will sell more then 1 millions copies all over the world.
